My daughter Jade is one of the most amazing, loving and compassionate individuals I know. When she was a child, she struggled with learning how to cope with her emotional and learning disabilities. When this painting was completed, her difficulties with learning how to work through and understand these hurdles were at their peak. My goal was to depict the inner conflict she would experience between her feelings of happiness and contentment to her feelings of fear and anger.
