Ladies and Gents, may I introduce “The Bahhhtendahhh”. This is the first piece I have completed in almost two years, and what a ride it has been creating it. As per usual, it was a very healing process. To feel the motivation and joy to paint again, has filled me with so much emotion that there have been times when I can’t help but smile and hum as I make my way through the day.

This past weekend, it was shown to a small group of friends and the response was exactly as I had hoped. It was expressed that the painting made them want to sit with the subject, enjoy his company and laugh, that they couldn’t help but feel light hearted and smile. I always enjoy watching the reaction to my paintings and hearing the viewer’s interpretation, which generally is always different. Such was not the case with this piece, everyone was smiling and felt a similar sense of joy.

Thank you to everyone who has walked with me through these past weeks and been patient with me as I continue riding this emotional roller-coaster to discover my new path. I now know that even though the future is uncertain, it is worth taking those first fearful steps and living life as full as one can.
